A Cautionary Tale

I recently had an experience with xpressmark.com regarding trademark registration for my company. The following is my personal account which I believe others should know about.

The company quoted me $1400 to register a trademark. They claimed that this was a necessary fee, which I later found out was more than what was required. When I disputed the charge, they managed to convince the credit card company of their stance.

Upon consulting with the USPTO, I was informed that the practices of xpressmark.com were not in accordance with standard procedures and that their actions could be considered as scamming and fraudulent.

They did not file the necessary documents within the promised timeframe and failed to fulfill their service promises. Furthermore, I received a threatening message from them stating that they would register my company's trademark on their own, which raised serious concerns about their business ethics.

It's also worth noting that xpressmark.com has an F rating with the Better Business Bureau, which is reflective of the poor service I experienced.
